The Programme of Management Studies prepares graduates to perform successfully in the business environment by creating a cooperative learning environment among students, faculty, and other stakeholders.

Facilities The Programme of Management Studies offices, classrooms, and computer facilities are located in the new National College Building, Khartoum, Sudan.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCES (B Sc) – MANAGEMENT STUDIES
All specialties of Management Studies Programme build on a foundation of core studies, general education, and the common body of knowledge in business. Students then specialize in one area of emphasis. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is designed to provide a well rounded professional education. This degree will provide students with a broad background and presents courses covering the functional areas of business. This management degree programme prepares students for leadership positions in business and non-profit organizations. The Bachelor of Science in Business has a strong interdisciplinary focus. The curriculum adheres to a philosophy that effective decision-making requires a broad understanding of institutional and cultural climate within which businesses are operating. During the first two years of study (4 Semesters), students take introductory classes in business administration, economics, accounting, business statistics, and information systems along with general education classes.
The business core includes required courses in marketing, organizational behaviour and financial or operations management. In their last 4 Semesters students choose an option of focused study (major) either in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or Management Information Systems.
The primary educational objective of this Business programme is to facilitate, in its students, the development of competencies that are necessary to skilfully plan, organize, direct, and manage the functions and processes within a firm or organization. Graduates of this programme will possess both the educational knowledge and business acumen necessary to assume positions of responsibility in a global business community characterized by rapid technological and social change, and/or pursue graduate level study in business or a related field.
Programme of Study Students must complete 165 credits to graduate with a B Sc Honours. Each required course must be completed with a minimum grade of C. Students must attain a minimum of a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.0.
B Sc [Honours] MANAGEMENT STUDIES
MAJOR: Accounting
Accounting is the process of identifying, measuring and communicating economic information about an organization for the purpose of making decisions and informed judgments. Accounting courses integrate the study of the theory and current practice of accounting with research and computer applications. Students will be able to use business and accounting concepts to make decisions about difficult issues. They will be trained as problem solvers who critically evaluate alternatives and examine which approach will be best for a business when more than one approach can be logically supported. Users of accounting information include the management of the entity or organization, the owners of the organization, employees, and various other agencies that are concerned with regulatory and tax matters.
